Object storage

Provision OSS, manage buckets and Access Keys, resize, release

Object Storage Service (OSS) is the platform's object-based, mass storage for unstructured data.

Prerequisites

Provision

The platform offers two entry points:

  • Entry A: Product → Storage, click "Object Storage" in the overview, then Activate now.
  • Entry B: Product Center → Storage Management, click Activate new storage.

Click Activate now.

Activation notification

Activation results are sent by SMS, including the Access Key and Secret Key. Save them safely.

Manage

Open Product Center → Storage Management.

Storage overview

Open the OSS console

Find the object-storage entry, click Open to enter the OSS management UI.

Bucket authorization

Master accounts can authorize sub-accounts to access buckets; authorized users can re-authorize.

  1. Click Authorize in the row of the target bucket.

  2. Pick the user(s) to authorize, click the import icon, confirm.

    Import users

Access Key is the identity credential for accessing OSS — like the password half of a username/password pair (paired with Secret Key). Each Access Key is owned by one user.

Expand

Action → Expand, configure Expansion size.

Expand

Maximum total capacity after expansion is 4096GB.

Shrink

Action → Shrink, configure Shrink size.

After shrinking you must keep at least 50GB available, and the shrink size must not exceed the remaining unused capacity.

Release

Action → Release, confirm in the dialog.
